New partnership will focus on patient environment
A new and improved cleaning service is being launched at 14 of Solent’s health buildings across Hampshire.
Solent NHS Estates and Facilities is joining forces with Pinnacle Group to ensure its health centres, clinics, GP surgeries and offices all benefit from the same high environmental standards.
Pinnacle, who already provide similar services to homes, schools and public buildings across the country, will also be responsible for security, grounds maintenance and pest control at some Solent sites.
Meanwhile cleaning and security at Solent’s larger sites like the Western Community Hospital, Southampton, and St Mary’s Community Health Campus and St James’ Hospital in Portsmouth will remain in-house.
The partnership will begin on Sunday 1 October 2023. Pinnacle staff will swing into action, cleaning out of hours, at the following sites:
- Adelphi House, Basingstoke
- Battenburg Child Development Centre, Portsmouth
- Bitterne Health Centre, Southampton
- Crown Heights, Basingstoke
- Highpoint Trust headquarters, Southampton
- Horizon Building, Western Community Hospital, Southampton
- Pickles Coppice, Southampton
- Portswood Surgery, Southampton
- Swan Centre, Eastleigh
- Thomas Parr House, Portsmouth
- Thornhill Centre for Healthy Living, Southampton
- Treetops, Portsmouth
- Westwood Bungalow, Southampton
- Westwood House, Southampton
Security and grounds maintenance services will be provided at Jubilee House, Portsmouth, and grounds maintenance only at Woolston Clinic, Southampton.

Pinnacle directly employs over 3,700 staff at more than 200 different locations across the country.
The company expects to have around 23 people working on Solent NHS Trust’s sites.
