An office refurbishment scheme has transformed the working environment for Solent staff based at Bitterne Health Centre.

The £798,000 project created a large open-plan hot-desking area, enabling the adult services team to work in comfort.

Spacious and inviting, the fresh new first-floor facilities are modern and professional, with a four-person manager’s office and two quiet rooms as well as a 64-desk office area.

Brightly coloured chairs add a splash of colour, while walls are decorated with images of Southampton.

The accommodation was fitted out with new desks, IT equipment, kitchen facilities and break-out space.

A centrally controlled ventilation system, housed on a purpose-built space on the building’s roof, was lowered into position by crane.
